  • Peter Weyland is born in Mumbai, India on the 1st of October 1990.
  • From the Weyland Industries Timeline, I took the information about his parent’s occupations to flesh out a bit more of his story.
  • His mother was an Oxford Educated Professor specialising in comparative mythology; according to Wikipedia:
    • Comparative mythology is the comparison of myths from different cultures in an attempt to identify shared themes and characteristics. Comparative mythology has served a variety of academic purposes. *Prajapati/Prijipati is also my theorised location of Origae-6 The location of Origae-6/And it parallels the David and Lawrence’s Journey. I also feel like the Ovomorph is like the Cosmic Egg.
      • Considering Ridley Scott has always been fascinated with mankind’s search for the meaning of life and pursuit of the divine.
  • His father was a self-taught engineer, in a period of time where superintending engineers were mostly recruited from Britain, lower grade craftsmen, artisans and sub-overseers were recruited locally.
  • It is interesting to note that Peter Weyland’s father being an engineer probably set the course for his life of becoming a creator himself, although we aren’t privy to his upbringing in any canonical source I can speak from experience of knowing a person of British heritage growing up in India, children only spoke when spoken to, they were to be seen but not heard, not until the children could make major accomplishments would their parents take any notice. Considering this piece of anecdotal information you could start to see how David and Android may have been raised, and later Meredith Vickers. There is also irony in the fact mankind’s creators were the Engineers as well.
  • This black and white image was the only photograph of Mumbai I could find from 1990, I wanted to infuse this timeline with some real history. And the part about the Pampan Bridge is real, I changed the spelling slightly from Pamban. You can look up the history of it here.

    1. Yes, I feel that knowing a bit more and also putting more puzzle pieces together may also show relevancy to details some may take for granted or discard as minor or trivial.
