This colony was never given a name that was trackable, but I have checked the best place for a Moon Colony to be established and Peary Crater fits the description all the key resources can be created and mined here, including the manufacture of water and oxygen
Researchers have identified what may be the perfect place for a Moon base, a crater rim near the lunar north pole that’s in near-constant sunlight yet not far from suspected stores of water ice.
Permanently sunlit areas would provide crucial solar energy for any future Moon settlement, a goal for NASA outlined last year by President George W. Bush. Such sites would also have resort-like temperatures compared with other lunar locations that fluctuate between blistering heat and unfathomable cold.
Equally important, in the permanently shadowed depths of craters around the lunar north pole, water ice may lurk, according to previous but unconfirmed observations.
Melted, it would be vital for drinking. Broken into hydrogen and oxygen, the water could provide breathable air and be used to make rocket fuel for a trip to Mars.
I believe Peary crater may have been named after the famous explorer Robert Peary, who was believed to be the first explorer to reach the North Pole, although his supposed claim has come under scrutiny in these past years.
In fact, modern explorers have been unable to confirm or duplicate the claimed course of either American. Cook failed to provide documented proof, and later died in prison after being convicted for mail fraud. As for Peary, an analysis being published in National Geographic corroborates what skeptics have long contended – that his logs are unreliable and his final push, averaging 71 miles a day, seems incredible.

Helium – 3
Resources will be used in space, starting with water which can be split by solar power into oxygen and hydrogen fuel for spaceships.
Stony asteroids and meteorites typically contain 36% oxygen, 26% iron, 18% silicon, 14% magnesium as well as smaller amounts of aluminium, nickel and calcium. With the proper refining technology, a stony meteorite could produce plenty of other building materials (silicon and aluminium are used on Earth in construction projects of all kinds). Earths crust has oxygen, silicon aluminium iron and other minerals so the processing of an asteroid wouldn’t require totally new technology, just a few refinements to account for gravity and other conditions particular to space mining.
Elements such as gold and platinum can be found on some asteroids. But water, silicon, nickel, and iron are the elements expected to become central to a space “economy” should it ever develop.
Water can be “mined” for its hydrogen (a fuel) and oxygen (needed for humans in space), while silicon can be used for solar power systems, and the ubiquitous nickel and iron for potential space manufacturing. (See an interactive on asteroid mining.)
